Elfira Ruizna Ortega Sensei, a 2nd Dan in Shudokan Aikido, has been dedicated to her art for over 20 years, having started her training at the tender age of 4. As the daughter of Ramlan Ortega, the esteemed Chief Instructor of Aikido Shudokan Malaysia, Elfira has been deeply immersed in the martial arts community from a young age.
She teaches a wide range of students, including adults, but her primary focus is on instructing children in Malaysia and Singapore. Known for her graceful techniques and compassionate teaching style, Elfira creates a supportive and nurturing environment that emphasizes the core values of Aikido: harmony and discipline.
Elfira Sensei is also highly skilled in ukemi, the art of falling, which is a fundamental aspect of Aikido practice. Her expertise in ukemi ensures that her students learn to fall safely and effectively, which helps prevent injuries and builds confidence in their practice.
Elfira Sensei is passionate about sharing her love for Aikido and is dedicated to inspiring a new generation of enthusiasts. She is particularly committed to encouraging more women to take up martial arts, believing in its potential to instill strength and self-assurance. Elfira’s dedication to her students and her art form makes her a respected and influential figure in the Aikido community. Elfira Sensei is presently travelling across Europe teaching and training Aikido.
